SYNOPSIS:
We can never measure the love between our pets and us. ‘Roshni’ shines a light on one such bond. Let us accompany Janhvi as she observes the activities of an adorable cat called Roshni.. Director’s Note or Statement on the Film Souls, Death, Love and Life- all of them are very unaware of themselves. For me, the most important thing that I wanted to show in Roshni is that Sandesh, who is dead, is so unaware of this fact and so unaffected by it when he is with Roshni.
DIRECTOR’S NOTE:
I feel that only the love for a pet can make one achieve this state of being, when the pet is the closest one to you. I think that human beings are very complex creatures who along with love also bring guilt, fear, secrecy, overthinking, a wearing of masks and concealed intentions. Whereas animals simply offer love, they do not have anything else. A soul returning to an empty house to meet his cat- Roshni- is a beautiful idea that is a real possibility for me. “Souls do return, but only for the chosen ones!
